With only weeks to go until the largest, and undoubtedly the world’s most important, watch and jewellery show, there is an atmosphere of excited anticipation as the Baselworld gets ready to open its doors to the public once again this year.
From March 8 – 15, the public will be able to witness some of the most originally exhilarating pieces that will set even the most seasoned connoisseur’s heart pacing.
Now in its fortieth year, Baselworld is home to some of the most prestigious names in the watch and jewellery sector -including Breitling, Breguet, Tag Heuer, Chopard, Bulgari, Longines, Vertu, Gucci to name but a handful.

Jermaine Beckford’s impressive performances last month have seen him rewarded by Lumbers voters, as they voted him in as Player of the Month for January.
Beckford hit a hat-trick against fierce rivals Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup third round replay at the King Power Stadium, and netted a brace in the fourth round tie against Swindon.
Beckford has struck up a fantastic relationship with strike partner David Nugent (December’s Player of the Month winner), and the pair appear to be visibly enjoying each other’s company as the Foxes have had a welcome return to form.

Experienced Foxes striker David Nugent had a string of fine displays in the month of December to win the illustrious Lumbers Player of the Month title.
His two goals against Portsmouth and Doncaster as well as his hardworking ethic gave voters no choice but to award the accolade to the Liverpool-born Nugent. David Nugent finished the year with his eighth goal of the season – a fine header from Paul Gallagher’s free-kick against Portsmouth – making him the Foxes’ leading league goalscorer.
Nugent says his team-mates have the quality to provide the service from which he can thrive. Interviewed in the official matchday magazine for the Portsmouth game, he said: “My best return was 17 for Preston North End in my first season with them and I think that is beatable in this team.”
Dominic Gomersall said:
“I am just amazed at how many yards David covers. He works incredibly hard for the team and was the stand out player this month. I was delighted to see him score a couple and I know he will be a vital player for Leicester as we are now entering the second half of the season.”
